Colonel MWARC Wijesooriya RSP USP of Sri Lanka Armoured Corps assumed duties as 17th Brigade Commander of the 232 Infantry Brigade-based in Tharavikulam, Thoppigala on Saturday (23).
The new Brigade Commander planted a sapling in Brigade Headquarers and signed a formal document at the auspicious minute and symbolized the official acceptance of new appointment amid religious observances.
Setting out his scope of work and duties, Colonel Ruwan Wijesooriya addressed Officers as well as All Ranks and outlined the importance of working as a team for the progress of the organization while promoting its image.
Commanding Officers of under command Battalions, Staff Officers of the Brigade, Officers and Other Ranks attended the occasion.
