A community based awareness programme on prevention of spreading COVID 19 was conducted in 231 Infantry Brigade on 02 November 2020. The programme was launched by 4 GW troops with the direction of Commander 231 Infantry Brigade. The Police and staff of MOH office Batticaloa assisted for succeeding the programme.
The programme was initially focused on preventive measures for COVID 19 and its critical effects for the health of human beings. Primarily, people were educated on the importance of wearing face masks, maintaining social distance and washing hands.
It was observed that most of the people were not fully aware of precautions for COVID 19 and such community awareness programmes indeed contributed for upgrading the health conditions of people at this COVID pandemic.
