Brigadier Nalin Koswatte assumed office as the 24 General Officer Commanding (GOC) of 23 Infantry Division HQ on Wednesday (20) during a simple ceremony. In accordance with military traditions, Brigadier Nalin Koswatte reviewed the Guard Turnout on his arrival after he was welcomed by the Colonel General Staff of the 23 Infantry Division.
The newly – appointed GOC planted a sapling in the Division HQ premises and afterwards he symbolically signed and official document to signify the acceptance of the new appointment amid religious observances. Commanders of under command Brigades, Commanding Officers, Officers and other ranks attended the ceremonial event and they extended best wishes to the new General Officer Commanding.
