The Donation programme in conjunction with Sri Lanka Media Forum held at Oddamavaddi Pradeshiya Sabha conference hall on 19th July 2023. In this event, Subventions worth of Rs. 1000.00 donated to 100 students and it will be continued until they finish their higher education on monthly basis. At the same time subventions worth of Rs. 100,000.00 donated to family members of who died due to bus accident occurred at Manampitiya, Kotaleeya bridge.
Troops of 4th Battalion the Gemunu Watch and 6th Battalion the Gajaba Regiment were organized this event with the financial assistance of Sri Lanka Media Forum.
Major General Darshana Wijesekera, the Eastern Commander participated as the chief guest for this programme. General Officer Commanding, 23 Infantry Division, Brigade Commanders of 232 and 233 Infantry Brigades, Chief Coordinator Civil Affairs of Security Forces Headquarter - East, Civil Affairs Officers of 23 Infantry Division, and 233 Infantry Brigade, Commanding Officers of 4th Battalion the Gemunu Watch and 6th Battalion Gajaba Regiment, Director and Secretary of Sri Lanka Media Forum, Divisional Secretaries, Zonal Directors of Education, Principals of respective schools and many other officials were participate for this event.
