Troops of 224 Brigade conducted a special Dengue Prevention Campaign in Muthur Thaquwanagar, Iqbalnagar and Aalimnagar areas on 17 to 20 Dec in liaison with the MOH and Medical Officers of the respective areas.
The programme got underway as a response to a request made by MOH Muthur, Dr. MM Risvi from the General Officer Commanding 22 Division Major General Nevil Weerasinghe.
During the programme, the public were educated on how effectively Dengue can be suppressed by maintaining good hygienic atmosphere at work places and the residences. Troops inspected more than 1260 households to spot mosquito breeding grounds.
