222 INFANTRY BRIGADE DONATES DRY RATION PACKS TO LOW-INCOME FAMILIES

With the blessing of Major General Sujeewa Hettiarachch, the Commander, Security Forces - East and guidance of the General Officer Commanding, 22 Infantry Division Major General Saliya Amunugama, and supervision of Brigadier Saliya Dias, Brigade Commander, 222 Infantry Brigade, 7 Military Intelligence Corps coordinated and organized distributing essential dry ration programme for low-income families around Serunuwara, Thopur and Kiliweddi area at Serunuwara Divisional Secretariat on Saturday (March 25).

Accordantly, during this programme, distributed 25 essential dry ration packs each worth Rs.4000 among low-income families under the patronage of Mr.Raj Mohan and his family in Canada. Brigadier Saliya Dias, Brigade Commander, 222 Infantry Brigade, grace the occasion as a chief guest and Lieutenant Colonel Chathura Matharage, the Commanding Officer, 7 Military Intelligence Corps and officers and other ranks of the battalion, beneficiaries, and representatives of the donors took part in the distribution ceremony.
