On the directions of the General Officer Commanding of 22 Infantry Division, Major General Channa Weerasuriya and with the supervision of the Commander 222 Brigade, 22nd Battalion of Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment organized a paddy planting ceremony at a 10 acre paddy field belongs to Seruwawila temple at auspicious time on Wednesday (11).
The Chief Incumbent of Seruwawila Temple, GOC 22 Infantry Division, Major General Channa Weerasuriya, Commander 222 Brigade, Colonel Wiraj Wimalasena Commanding Officer of 22 VIR, Lieutenant Colonel Suranga Ramanayaka Government officials and villages took part in the event.
