22 Infantry Division launched a Dengue Prevention Programme at Primary Treatment Units of Kuchchaweli Hospital and Morawewa Hospital, on 15 August 2020.
General Officer Commanding 22 Infantry Division Major General CD Weerasooriya RWP RSP ndu initiated this programme and Commander 221 Brigade, Brigadier WP Kariyawasam and Commander 223 Brigade, Brigadier WANS Perera USP coordinated the programme.
Troops belongs to 6 Sri Lanka Armored Corps and 6 Vijayaba Infantry Regiment carried out the cleaning of entire hospital premises including surroundings to clear all possible mosquito breeding places. The programmme was highly appreciated by the Medical Officers in - charge of Kuchchaweli Hospital and Morawewa Hospital.
