22 DIVISION HELPS FOR THE SUCCESSFUL CONDUCT OF KOVIL POOJA
The troops of 22 Division extended their fullest support to conduct the annual Kovil Pooja at “Sri Durga Amman” Hindu Kovil Trincomalee on Tuesday (19). Prior to the event, the troops conducted a Sharmadana campaign to clear the surrounding of the Kovil premises together with devotees in the area.\r\n \r\nThe coordinating assistance was provided under the guidance of General Officer Commanding 22 Division Maj Gen KPA Jayasekara WWV RSP USP ndc psc. Troops provided tea with snacks for gathering of more than 500 civilians during the ceremony.\r\n\r\nThe Chief Priest (Kurukkal) and devotees extended their gratitude for the Army and appreciated assistance to make the religious ceremony a success.\r\n\r\nCol Coord 22 Div Col HMNB Herath, Senior Officers, Police Officers, Other Ranks and large gathering of civilians in the area participated in the Religious Programme.\r\n
