22 Division organized a Blood Donation Campaign at the 22 Division Headquarters in Trincomalee on 23 (Sunday) marking the two month remembrance of 4/21 Easter attacks.
This meritorious project was organized under the supervision of Major General Neville Weerasingha General Officer Commanding - 22 Division in response to a request made by Dr: Dilupa Gunasekara Consultant Transfusion Physician Regional Blood Centre - Trincomalee.
More than 120 Officers and Other Ranks volunteered to donated blood for the betterment of patients. Major General Neville Weerasingha, General Officer Commanding - 22 Division Senior Officers and a large gathering of Soldiers attended the occasion.
Hospital Director and the Staff thanked the Army for their generosity.
