Under the directions of Major General K P A Jayasekara WWV RSP VSV USP ndc psc, the Commander Security Forces (East), Inter Division Volleyball tournament of Security Forces - East is organized annually with the intention of finding potential players to represent Army and National teams whilst promoting the National sport of Sri Lanka.
22 Division volleyball team secured victory in the finals of Inter Division Volleyball Tournament - 2019 defeating SFHQ (E) team, after a very close contest, held at Polonnaruwa National Sports Complex amidst a large gathering of Army sports-lovers on Wednesday (03).
Commander, Security Force - East, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and awarded certificates and trophies to the winners. The best performances displayed in the courts by players bagged following awards; Best Player - Lance Bombardier Ilukwaththa IWST- SFHQ-E Best Attacker - TPR Jayarathna HMHM - 22 Division Best Setter - TPR Madhusanka BTK - 22 Division
