‘22 Division Challenge Trophy’, the volleyball tournament organized by 5th Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery under the supervision of 222 Brigade successfully concluded at the 5 SLA grounds, Kanthale on (Wednesday) 06. General Officer Commanding 22 Division, Major General Aruna Jayasekara graced the occasion as the Chief Guest at the Closing Ceremony.
Eleven teams participated in the tournament and 6th Regiment Sri Lanka Armoured Corps and 5th Regiment Sri Lanka Artillery vied in the final tussle. Players of 5 SLA carried away the trophy in the tournament after a close encounter and 6 SLAC emerged runners-up. Gunner Premasiri PIA adjudged the Best Attacker, Gunner Amarasinghe SBANM was nominated as the Best Setter and Gunner Kumarasingha PGTM became the Best Player.
