20th Battalion of the Gajaba Regiment Organizes Cleaning and Decorating Program to Celebrate Vesak

In line with the Vesak festival, and under the guidance of the Commander Security Forces (East), Major General P. R. Pathiravithana, USAWC, psc, and the close supervision of the General Officer Commanding the 22 Infantry Division, the troops of the 20th Battalion of the Gajaba Regiment, deployed under the 221 Infantry Brigade, organized a cleaning and decorating program at the historic Asirimalaya Rajamaha Viharaya on 11 may 2025.

This initiative was part of ongoing civil-military coordination efforts aimed at fostering harmony and religious respect within the local community.

The event was recognized as one of the most vibrant and well-organized in the area in recent times, reflecting the strong bond between the military and the local population.
