As a step of “Manushyathwaye Sahana Yathrawa”, troops of the Security Force Headquarters (East), coordinated and organized the distribution of dry ration packs to 200 needy families, on 25 July 2022.
Under the first phase of distribution, 100 dry ration packs were distributed to needy families in Thoppigala, Kiliweddy and Kirillaweliof 232 Infantry Brigade area with the participation of Commander Security Forces (East), Commander 232 Infantry Brigade, Donors and other Senior Officers, at 08.30 AM on 25 July 2022.
As the second phase of the distribution, another 100 dry ration packs were distributed to needy families of Welikanda, Sinhapura, Sewanapitiya and Katuwanwila villages, at 03.00 PM on 25 July 2022 with the participation of Commander, Security Forces (East) and Senior and Junior Staff Officers, at Security Forces Headquarters (East).
Mr. Prasad Lokubalasooriya, lives in Gampaha, organizes the charity programme named “Manushyathwaye Sahana Yathrawa”, sponsored the donation at the request of the Commander, Security Forces (East), Major General G R R P Jayawardena RWP RSP ndu.
A total of 200 packs,were donated and each pack consisted with dry rations worth of Rs 5,000.00. According to the instructions of the Commander Security Forces (East), the Civil Affairs Section of the Security Force Headquarters (East), closely supervised the project for coordination and its launching,with the support of the other staff.
The Commander, Security Force (East) together with the Brigadier General Staff, Brigadier Sujeewa Jayasinghe, the Brigadier Coordinate, Brigadier Kapila Chakrawarthi, the Chief Coordinator Civil Affairs, Colonel Rajiv Fernando, Staff Officers and Other Ranks of Security Force Headquarters (East) attended the donation programme.
