20 GR CONDUCTED AN EYE CLINIC AND CATARACT SCREENING PROGRAM AT PULMODDAI MUSLIM CENTRAL COLLEGE.

With the assistance of Assit Resettlement and Renaissance organization, troops of the 20th Battalion the Gajaba Regiment under the 221 Infantry Brigade of 22 Infantry Division of the Security Force Headquarters - East has conducted an Eye Clinic and Cataract screening programme on 09 December 2023 at Pulmoddai Muslim Central College.

There were 217 civilians participated for this event representing Sinhala, Tamil and Muslim community. Among 217 civilians, 56 people were direct to treated for Cataract screening and 161 registered for spectacles. To make this event success Chairmen of the Assit Resettlement and Renaissance Dr. Sarveswaram, and 13 Members of crew including Dr. Nizma Razik and Dr .Kajana were attended.

General Officer Commanding, 22 Infantry Division, Major General PAM Peiris RSP USP psc, Colonel General Staff, 22 Infantry Division, Colonel KASJ Kodithuwakku RSP ptsc, Senior Officers had been participated for this event. Commanding Officer, Major WWNC Waduge RWP RSP USP, 20 Gajaba Regiment, and 02 Officers with 18 Other Ranks also attended for the successfulness of this event.
