On the concept of Major General Saliya Amunugama, General Officer Commanding, 22 Infantry Division and under the patronage of Commanding Officer, 2 (V) Battalion Gajaba Regiment, Major Warna Warnakulasooriya, organized a grand IFTAR festival of offering delicious food and beverage to the Muslim community. The programme held on Tuesday (18 April) at battalion headquarters to strengthen the bond with the Muslim community and enhance civil-military coordination in the Trincomalee area pertaining to their last day of Ramazan fasting.
Major Warna Warnakulasooriya, Commanding Officer of the 2(V) Battalion Gajaba Regiment, officers, other ranks, and around 50 Muslim community, including Muslim army soldiers were participated in the occasion.
