A well-cleaning programme was conducted on 04 December 2025 from 1000 hrs to 1730hrs with the participation of 01 x 10 of 11 (V) SLSR for each place under the direction and supervision of the 243 Infantry Brigade. During the programme, troops cleaned 04 x public wells located at the Kovil PoratheevuMurugan Kovil Well, Kovil Poratheevu Preschool Well, Kovil PoratheevuJuntion Well and wells located in the house in The Kovil Poratheevu. These wells had been extensively used by the local community during the recent adverse weather conditions and the cleaning effort was carried out to ensure the continued availability of safe drinking water for affected residents.
