A well-cleaning programme was conducted on 04 December 2025 from 0700 hrs to 1730hrs with the participation of 01 x 10 troops of 11 (V) SLSR for each place under the direction and supervision of the 243 Infantry Brigade. During the programme troops cleaned 06 x public wells located at the Pillayar Kovil Veththuchcheni, VeththuchcheniJunction Well , Veththancheni Public Well and wells located in three housesin the Vetthancheni Area These wells had been extensively used by the local community during the recent adverse weather conditions and the cleaning effort was carried out to ensure the continued availability of safe drinking water for affected residents.
