Sewa Wanitha

The Seva Vanitha Branch of the Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SVB – SLLI) marked a significant milestone in its Welfare projects on 20th November 2024 with the completion of a fully – fledged house for a low – income family residing in No 304/A Ranala, Nawagamuwa, Pahalawaththa.

Under the guidance of the Commader of Security Forces (Central) and Colonel of the Regiment of Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) Major General Y.A.B.M Yahampath RWP RSP NDU psc and under the supervision of the chairperson of the SLLI Seva Vanitha Branch, Mrs. Darshanee Yahampath a housing project has been Implemented.

Under the guidance of the Quater Master General and Colonel of the Regiment of Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) Major General G.M.N Perera RWP RSP USP ndc and under the supervision of the chairperson of the SLLI Seva Vanitha Branch, Mrs. Vajira Perera a housing project has been commenced on 06 July 2024

In gratitude to Ms. Dhanusha Weerasuriya, who served as the 11th Honorary President of Seva Vanitha Branch, who played a great role in bringing the welfare of war veterans to a higher level on behalf of the SLLI Seva Vanitha Branch, and to Priyanka Peiris, the former secretary, who rendered invaluable service to Seva Vanitha Branch by giving her contribution and advice to the Veterans Welfare Projects. A farewell evening get-together organized for the presentation was held. On the advice and guidance of Mrs. Utpala Hettiarachchi, Honorary Chairperson of Seva Vanitha Branch, on the evening of 27.08.2023, Honorary Chairperson and senior members participated in this friendly meeting held at RHQ SLLI Officer's Mess.
