Mrs Dananjani Karunasekara Hon. President of Seva Vanitha Branch SLLI and other members visited Kamburupitiya Abimansala and Hand Over special Donation on 6th Dec 2015.
The Seva Vanitha Branch of Sri Lanka Light Infantry Regiment Organized special occasion under the welfare project of 2015 and presented scholar ship, House Donation and medical Donation on 03rd Dec 2015 at RHQ SLLI Panagoda. Mrs Dananjani Karunasekara Hon. President of Seva Vanitha Branch SLLI, Centre Commandant Brigadier MM Kithsiri RSP, Deputy Commandant Col GMN Perera RWP RSP, Senior officers and members of the Seva Vanitha Branch were participated for the event.
The foundation stone was setting for the new house on 23 Nov 2015 at Dodanduwa, Galle to under mentioned late solders family. finance assistance was given by Sri Lanka Army Directorate of welfare, Seva Vanitha Branch of Sri Lanka Light Infantry Regiment and Labour Assistance was given by 7th Battalion Sri Lanka Light Infantry.
The foundation stone was setting for the new house on 10 Nov 2015 at Ebbagamuwa, Kurunegala to late S/312022 L/Cpl Kapilarathne YRTGN's family. finance assistance was given by Sri Lanka Army Directorate of welfare, Seva Vanitha Branch of Sri Lanka Light Infantry and Labour Assistance was given by 4th Battalion Sri Lanka Light Infantry.
Hon. President of the Sri Lanka Light Infantry Seva Vanitha Branch Mrs. Dananjani Karunasekara donated special price to Thilochana Divyanjalee, the daughter of S/D100635 Sgt Gamini Nishantha PEA - 2(V) SLLI. This child secured first place in Galle District from Grade 5 Scholarship Examination 2014 by obtaining 193 marks. Commander of the Army Lieutenant General AWJC de Silva RWP USP ndu psc presented scholarships to the children at RHQ SLLI on 21th August 2015.
On 19th August 2015, Hon. President of the Sri Lanka Light Infantry Seva Vanitha Branch Mrs. Dananjani Karunasekara donated Rs. 30,000 to the daughter of S/316533 Cpl Kumara GGS (4 SLLI) who is suffering with hearing problem from her birth.
A new House was donated on 10th July 2015 to S/14D00941 PteYaparathne YMG (14 (V)SLLI) at Sadunpura by Seva Vanitha unit SLLI and Labour Assistance was given by 14 (V) SLLI Troops.
The special "Vesak Darma Deshana" programme was conducted by Ven.Borelle Kolitha Thero on 18 May 2015 which organized by the Seva Vanitha Branch SLLI regiment held at the RHQ SLLI. The Colonel of the Regiment Maj Gen KADA Karunasekara RSP USP ndu psc and Mrs. Dananjani Karunasekara president SLLI Seva Vanitha branch, senior officers, members of Seva Vanitha branch SLLI and number of other rankers of the SLLI regiment participated for the event.
The foundation stone was laid in the land belonging to S/306454 DGP (KIA) – 12 SLLI at Katugastota on 15th May 2015 to build a new house for the close relations of Sgt Dehigolla. The SLLI Seva Vanitha Branch contribute 60%, Army director welfare financially contributed 40% and the labour assistance will be given by 12 SLLI troops.
The foundation stone had been laid in the land belonging to S/17D00162 L/Cpl Sunil S - 17 (V) SLLI (RFT SLLI) at Galagedara in Kandy on 15th May 2015 to build a new house for this disabled soldier. The SLLI Seva Vanitha Branch contributes 60% and Army director welfare financially contributing 40%. Further, labour assistance will be given by the 17 (V) SLLI troops.
