SLLI Seva Vanitha Head Visits ‘Abimansala’ at Anuradhapura

On 22 Aug 17, by the President of Seva Vanitha Branch Sri Lanka Light Infantry donated a cheque worth of Rs.100,000/= to Lakidu Weerasinghe who is the son of Lt Col WAYK Weerasinghe SLLI has been selected to the Asian Swimming Competition is being held from 08 to 12 Sep 17.
The Hon. President of Seva Vanitha Branch SLLI, Mrs Dananjani Karunasekara and some of members visited the Ranaviru Sevana Ragama on 30th Jun 2017 and presented two wheel chairs to disable War Heroes. Mrs. Indira Wijerathne, a senior member of the branch coordinated the donor. During the visit, they arranged a tea for the war heroes.

Seva Vanitha Branch of Sri Lanka Light Infantry extended its support for Army housing project by donating 1.8 million rupees recently to fulfill the dreams of six more Light Infantry differently abled war heroes.

According to the concept of Hon President of Seva Vanitha Branch Mrs Dananjani Karunasekara, a programme of granting financial aids and scholarships was held at Regimental Centre, Sri Lanka Light Infantry on 28 December 2016. The Colonel of the Regiment Maj Gen KADA Karunasekara RWP RSP VSV USP ndu psc graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, Hon President senior members of Seva Vanitha Branch presented at the event. Brig MM Kithsiri RWP RSP USP the Centre Commandant and other senior officers of the attended this welfare programme.
Under the direction of Mrs Dhananjani Karunasekara, the Hon President of Seva Vanitha Branch of SLLI, another welfare project has been launched by laying a foundation stone to build a new house for a civil employee, Mr. A Priyantha Kumara de Silva. Estimated cost is Rs.1,000,000.00 and money will be provided by the Seva Vanitha Branch SLLI.
