The new house was donated on 30th January 2014 to S/321442 Cpl Rathnayaka RMPK at Dehiatthakandiya with coordination of precedent of Dencil Kobbekaduwa foundation. This house was constructed by Hq Battalion RHQ SLLI with financial contribution of CENTRAL FINANCE (PVT) LTD and under supervision of seva vnitha branch Sri Lanka light infantry. It was declared opened by Mrs. lalee Kobbekaduwa Hon. precedent of the Dencil Kobbekaduwa foundation on invitation by Mrs. Dannjanee Karunasekara Hon. precedent of the seva vanitha branch Sri Lanka Light Infantry.
The col of the regiment SLLI Maj Gen KADA Krunasekara RSP USP ndu psc and precedent of the seva vanitha branch SLLI madam Dananjani Karaunasekara have donated the sum of rupees five million (5000000.00) for the welfare of the soldiers at the institute of Sri Lanka foundation on 24th January 2014.The cheque was handed over to commander of the army Lt Gen RMD Rathnayake WWV RWP RSP USP ndu psc and precedent of the Sri Lanka army seva vanitha branch madam Damayanthi Rathnayaka.
After taking over the duties as the honorable President at Sri Lanka Army Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Damayanthi Ratnayaka was felicitated with a lunch at the Officers' Mess by the New Hon. President Mrs. Dananjani Karunasekara and the Members of Seva Vanitha Unit - Sri Lanka Light Infantry on 15th August 2013.
Seva Vanitha Branch of the Sri Lanka Light Infantry while extending their generosity towards "RanaViru Welfare" offered more cash donations to needy SLLI war heroes recently.
Three SLLI war heroes namely S/2k01134 private Piyasiri K, S/319096 Corporal Jayathilake AM and Lance Corporal Pushpa Kumara were offered cash donations worth Rs. 50,000/=, Rs. 50,000/= and Rs.20,000/= respectively by Mrs. Damayanthi Ratnayake, the Hon. President Seva Vanitha Sri Lanka Light Infantry Branch on15 October 2011.
