Due to the bad weather conditions a tree branch fell on the premises of Am/Panama Maha Vidyalaya At the request of the college 01 × 10 troops belonging to the 14 SLSR under the 242 Infantry Brigade were deployed on 08.01.2026 to remove the branches from the tree.
These disaster relief programs were carried out under the guidance of senior officer Major General WMNKD Bandara RWP RSP USP ndu psc General Officer Commanding 24 Inf Div, Brigadier KGAT Kelakorale RSP Brigade Commander 242 Infantry Brigade and under the full supervision of Major GHTP Fonseka CO 14 SLSR.
