243 Infantry brigade proudly marked its 3rd Anniversary with a series of ceremonial and commemorative events held at the Headquarters premises on 10 November 2025.
As part of the anniversary celebrations, interfaith religious observances were conducted on 09 2025 at Brigade Headquarters, Mamanga Hindu Kovil, in Batticaloa. These observances were held to invoke blessings upon the 243 infantry brigade, its officers, other ranks, and their families, seeking continued strength, unity, and success in the fulfillment of their duties.
On the anniversary day, troops of the 11(V) Sri lanka Singha Regiment presented a Ceremonial Guard Turnout to Brigadier KMUP Kalupahana USP psc, Commander, 243 Infantry Brigade upon his arrival. Following the ceremonial honors, the Commander planted a mango sapling within the camp premises, symbolizing growth, unity, and the enduring legacy of the Headquarters.
The day’s proceedings concluded with a group photograph, all ranks tea and all ranks lunch, including a troop’s address delivered by the Commander. In his address, Brigadier KMUP Kalupahana USP psc expressed his sincere appreciation to all officers and other ranks for their unwavering dedication, professionalism, and invaluable contributions towards achieving the mission and objectives of the 243 Infantry brigade.
