Commander, Security Forces (East), Visits Thoppigala Area

The Commander, Security Forces (East), Major General J.S.B.W. Pallekumbura RWP RSP ndu psc, made an official visit to the 232 Infantry Brigade Headquarters in Thoppigala.

Upon arrival, the Commander was warmly welcomed by the Commander of the 232 Infantry Brigade. During the visit, a comprehensive briefing was presented to Major General Pallekumbura, highlighting the current security situation and ongoing activities in the region.

As part of the visit, the Commander symbolically planted a mango tree at the brigade premises, marking the occasion. A group photograph was taken with the officers and staff of the 232 Infantry Brigade to commemorate the visit. He also placed his signature in the visitors' book, expressing his appreciation for the warm reception and the commitment of the troops.

Furthermore, the Commander visited the Thoppigala monument, where he laid a floral wreath in honor of the fallen heroes. He also toured the surrounding area to assess the current security status and ensure operational readiness.

This visit reflects the continuing efforts of the Security Forces Headquarters (East) to strengthen leadership presence, evaluate ground-level developments, and reinforce morale among troops deployed in the Eastern Province.
