THE 24 INFANTRY DIVISION DISTRIBUTED ESSENTIAL ITEMS TO PREGNANT MOTHERS

In a heartwarming act of generosity, the 24 Infantry Division extended a helping hand to 35 pregnant mothers in the Uhana MOH area by donating essential items to support their health and well-being. The event was held at Ruhunugama on 09 January 2025 under the directions and guidance of the General Officer Commanding, Major General HCL Galappatthi RSP USP.

The donation drive included various maternal and infant care items, such as maternity wear, diapers, baby formula, hygiene products, and dry ration packs. The initiative aimed to alleviate the financial burden faced by many expectant mothers, particularly those in underserved communities.

This donation programme was organized in collaboration with Hemaz Consumer Products (Pvt) Ltd. Distribution and Operation Manager Mr. Thilina Jayarathne and senior management of Hemaz Consumer Products (Pvt) Ltd participated in this donation programme. The donated items were worth more than 500,000 rupees. After the donation programme, all the pregnant mothers and distinguished guests were treated to a delightful breakfast.
