Security Forces (East), Wildlife, and Civil Organizations jointly conducted a survey to prevent damage from wild elephant to paddy cultivation and safeguard the lives of villagers. This program covered the areas of Dimbulana, Mahawelithanna, Suriyawewa, and Parakrama Yaya.
This region consists of 5,000 acres of paddy cultivation and is home to 400 families. Under the supervision of the Commander of Security Forces (East), the Project Office of Security Forces (East), Brigadier W.S.R. Kumara USP ISC, and troops participated in the survey on 02 January 2025.
