ANOTHER COMMUNITY PROJECT BY SFHQ (E) - DISTRIBUTION OF SCHOOL STATIONERY ITEMSINPLN/DIM/VIJAYAPARACKRAMA KANISHTA VIDYALAYA– KALUKALE AND PALATIYAWA KANISHTA VIDYALAYA- DIMBULAGALA

Programms were held on 05 January 2025 to distribute books and educational equipment to 722 students studying in the Vijaya Parackrama Kanishta School and Palatiyawa Kanishta School atKalukale of the Dimbulagala Divisional Secretariat.

Major General Nilantha Premaratne RSP USP psc the Commander Security Forces (East) figured out the basic needs and launched this programme with his conceptual guidance. The event was organized under the supervision of 23 Infantry Division.The event was successfully conducted by the 231 Infantry Brigade with the support by 12Battalion the Gemunu Watchall Officers and troops.

As the Chief Guest of the event Major General Nilantha Premaratne RSP USP psc Commander Security Force Headquarters (East)was participated and the financial contribution to make this programme a success was made by the Colombo “THARANA”foundation. As another social service provided by this institution for low-income families the Chairperson of the Colombo “THARANA”foundation, Mrs. Suranjini, and all members of the organization contributed financially for these books and school supplies.Cultural dances performed by Vijaya Parackrama Kanishta SchoolKalukale and Palatiyawa Kanishta School students enhance the glamour of the event.
