The Security Forces Headquarters (East) conducted a School Stationery and Book Distribution Programme for the schoolchildren of serving Army personnel and civilian employees attached to the Security Forces Headquarters (East) on 24 and 25 January 2026 at the Headquarters premises.
The programme was conducted under the guidance of the Commander, Security Forces (East), Major General J.S.B.W. Pallekumbura RWP RSP ndu psc, and was graced by the presence of senior officers, officers, other ranks and civilian staff of the Headquarters.
The successful implementation of the programme was made possible through the generous sponsorship extended by Mrs P. I. Peiris, the Chief Organiser of the “Miyuru Rasa” Organisation. A delegation of officials representing the “Miyuru Rasa” Organisation, Horana, was also present on the occasion.
Accordingly, on 24 January 2026, school books and stationery were distributed among 265 families of Army personnel and civilian employees serving under the Security Forces Headquarters (East).
