SECURITY FORCES (EAST) CONDUCT SCHOOL CLEANING & RENOVATION PROGRAM

As part of the Clean Sri Lanka initiative and under the guidance of the Commander of the Army, troops of the Security Forces (East), supervised by Major General P. R. Pathiravithana, USAWC psc, Commander, Security Forces (East), conducted a school cleaning and renovation program in March 2025.

Cleaning and renovation activities were carried out at the following schools:

Mawanagama Aselapura College

Nelumwawa College

Hadanpitiya Tamil College

Katuwanvila Muslim College

Kayankeni Saraswathi College

Wakaneri Kokukulama College

Kasira Vigneshwaram College

Hulannuge Sinhala College

Bakmideniya College

Hennanigala South College

Thambuvil Saraswathi College

Nikapitiya Primary College

Padiyathalawa National College

Meanwhile, under the supervision of the General Officer Commanding of the 22 23, and 24 Infantry Divisions, troops from the following units participated in the cleaning and renovation efforts:

9th Sri Lanka Artillery, 7th Sri Lanka Artillery

14th Battalion of the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment

7th and 12th Battalions of the Gamunu Watch 3rd Regiment of the Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment

8th and 16th Sri Lanka National Guards

Senior officers, officers, other ranks, teachers, and parents actively participated in the event, contributing to the successful execution of this community service initiative.
