COMMANDER SECURITY FORCES (EAST) VISITS LOGISTICS COMMAND (EAST)

Commander Security Forces (East), Major General J.S.B.W. Pallekumbura RWP RSP ndu psc, paid his first official visit to the Logistics Command Headquarters (East) in Minneriya on 16 July 2025.

Upon arrival, he was warmly received by the Logistics Commander (East) and honored with a Guard Turnout at the entrance. As part of the welcome proceedings, the Commander planted a mango tree, symbolizing growth and sustainability, and posed for a group photograph with staff officers and officers of the under-command logistics battalion.

The visit continued with a comprehensive operational briefing delivered by the Logistics Commander (East), providing insights into the ongoing logistics operations in the region. Before departing the headquarters, Major General Janaka Pallekumbura penned his thoughts and remarks in the visitors’ book, expressing his appreciation for the efforts and dedication of the logistics team.

In addition, the Commander took the opportunity to address the troops serving under the Logistics Command, offering encouragement and commendation for their continued service. The visit concluded with a stop at the Army Base Hospital, Minneriya, where he reviewed its facilities and interacted with medical personnel.
