BLOOD DONATION PROGRAMME ORGANIZED BY THE 221 INFANTRY BRIGADE

Under the guidance of the Commander, Security Forces (East), Major General P. R. Pathiravithana USAWC psc, and following the instructions of the General Officer Commanding of the 22 Infantry Division, the 221 Infantry Brigade organized a blood donation programme to commemorate its 15th anniversary.

The event was conducted at the Brigade Headquarters in Kuchchaveli on 12 March 2025, in response to a request made by the Medical Officer. The programme saw active participation from the Commander of the 221 Infantry Brigade, senior officers, officers, other ranks and 61 of blood supplies demonstrating their commitment to a noble cause.

This initiative not only marked a significant milestone in the brigade’s history but also contributed to saving lives by supporting medical institutions in need of of blood supplies.
