The Commander, Security Force Headquarters (East), Major General J.S.B.W. Pallekubura RWP RSP ndu psc, visited the Siri Seelalankara Dharmayathana Pirivana Viharaya on 17 January 2026 to review the development activities required at the Pirivana. The institution is located in the Wellawadiya–Kalkudah area under the jurisdiction of Security Force Headquarters (East).
Upon arrival, the Commander was received by the Incumbent Thero, Venerable Devalankara Thero, together with the resident monks, including the Anunayaka Thero. Religious observances were conducted thereafter, during which the Panchasila was administered.
Subsequently, with the assistance of the Tharana Foundation, dry ration packs and Pirivana textbooks were donated to the Pirivana. Discussions were also held regarding the immediate development requirements of the institution.
The BATI/KK Siri Seelalankara Dharmayathana Pirivana is an affiliated Pirivana administered under the guidance of the Dimbulagala Aranya Senasana. During the discussion, the Incumbent Thero emphasized the urgent need for further development work at the Pirivana.
Senior officers, officers, and the Honorable Chairman of the Tharana Foundation were also present during the visit.
