An Administration and Logistics Conference was convened at the Headquarters of 23 Infantry Division on 19 January 2026 under the chairmanship of Major General GPP Kulatilaka ndc, the General Officer Commanding, 23 Infantry Division.
The conference brought together the Commander, Logistics Command (East) the Deputy General Officer Commanding, 23 Infantry Division; Brigadier AQ (East) Brigade Commanders of 231, 232 and 233 Infantry Brigades Senior Administration and Logistics Staff Officers of Headquarters 23 Infantry Division Commanding Officers of Service and Logistics Units under Logistics Command (East) and Battalion Commanders of the Division.
The forum reviewed the Division’s administrative and logistics posture, assessed prevailing challenges, and determined priority measures to strengthen operational efficiency and sustainment. Emphasis was placed on enhancing inter-formation coordination, reinforcing accountability, and ensuring precision and timeliness in administrative and logistics processes.
Critical administrative and logistics issues affecting under-command formations were examined in depth, and clear directives were issued to address identified deficiencies. The conference also reinforced best practices and aligned logistics procedures with operational requirements.
The conference underscored the decisive role of robust administration and logistics in sustaining operational readiness and supporting present and future commitments of the Division. It concluded with definitive guidance, assigned responsibilities, and follow-up mechanisms to ensure effective execution of decisions taken.
