The 22 Infantry Division celebrated the Vesak festival 2025 symbolizing religious harmony under the supervision of the General Officer Commanding 22 infantry division on VesakPoya day 12 May 2025. Conceding with the Vesak festival, the troops of 22 Infantry Divisionhave presented an impressive and colourfulVesak lanterns in front of this headquarter generating devoted hearts in all ethnicities living in Trincomalee district.
The Vesak lantern display has initiated with the esteemed guidance of the General Officer Commanding 22 Infantry Division and organized by all staff of Headquarters 22 Infantry Division and all the battalion sunder 22 Infantry Division. The Vesak lanterns made with the contribution of all Officers and Other ranks of respective regiments and battalions.General Officer Commanding 22 Infantry Division Maj Gen HDLS Perera RWP RSP ndc grace the opening ceremony as the Chief Guest adding more value to Vesak festival.the Brigade Commanders of 222 and 223 Infantry Brigades,All the Commanding Officers, All Officers and Other Rankers of 22 Infantry Division & under command battalions were participated in this events
