18 VIR Troops Undertake Coastal Clean - Up at Kalmunei

Under the guidance of Brigadier L.S.D.N Pathirathna RSP USP, Commander of the 241 Infantry Brigade, troops of the 18 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment (VIR), conducted a beach cleaning programme on 07 July 2024, at Kalmunei Beach aiming to preserve the coastal environment.

During the program, troops removed debris such as wrappers, plastic bottles, and polythene, threatening the area's natural beauty.
