At this joyous celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ who brought the message of peace and love to the whole world, I am pleased to share my warmest wishes for a blessed and peaceful Christmas with all Christians of the Sri Lanka Army and their beloved family members. The Prince of Peace, Jesus Christ, enlightened the Christians through his teachings, to promote the core human values of kindness, forgiveness, equality and righteousness. This sacred occasion is a fine opportunity for us to grow our hearts with these greater human qualities. SLSR Troops honoured visiting Chief of the Naval Staff of the Indian Navy The Chief of the Naval Staff of the Indian Navy, Admiral R Hari Kumar PVSM AVSM VSM ADC, arrived in Sri Lanka for a five-day long goodwill visit called on Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage, Commander of the Army on Tuesday (13) afternoon at the Army Headquarters.

The flag awarding ceremony of the redesignated 10th Battalion of the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment was held at the Regimental Headquarters in Ambepussa on 02 December 2022 morning with the grace of Major General Priyantha Jayawardene, the Quarter Master General and the Colonel of the Regiment as the Chief Guest.

The Regimental Centre, Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment commemorated fallen war heroes on the 19th and 20th November 2022, giving pride of place to the families of the fallen heroes. This commemoration was organized with the intention of not letting down the legacy which these heroes left behind and to carry forward the inheritance of the great example which they put forth by making the ultimate sacrifice in the name of their mother nation. As a grateful fraternity of soldiers, Sinha family will salute them and pledged to never forget the sacrifices they made at the highest calling of duty.

A farewell ceremony for Major General Kithsiri Liyanage, Colonel of the Regiment of Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment was held at the Regimental Centre, Ambepussa on 14 May 2022 on the eve of his retirement after completing 35 years of service in the Sri Lanka Army.
