The Officers’ Training Day of the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) was successfully conducted on 27 February 2026 at the Regimental Centre, Ambepussa, under the patronage of the Colonel of the Regiment and the General Officer Commanding, 54 Infantry Division, Major General AMC Abeykoon RWP RSP USP ndc. The event was attended by senior officers and officers of the Regiment.

Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment bid farewell to the former Deputy General Officer Commanding of Security Forces Headquarters West and Colonel of the Regiment of Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment, Major General J K R Jayakody RWP USP on 23 December 2025, who retired after serving more than 35 years in the Regular Force of the Sri Lanka Army. Ceremony was held in its customary way at Regimental Centre, Ambepussa.

The Regimental Centre, Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment commemorated fallen war heroes on the 7th and 8th November 2025, giving pride of place to the families of the fallen heroes. This commemoration was organised with the intention of not letting down the legacy which these heroes left behind and to carry forward the inheritance of the great example which they put forth by making the ultimate sacrifice in the name of their mother nation. As a grateful fraternity of soldiers, Sinha family will salute them and pledged to never forget the sacrifices they made at the highest calling of duty.

The Inter Battalion Battle Physical Training Competition – 2025 of the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) was successfully held from 21 to 25 July 2025 at the Regimental Centre in Ambepussa. The event featured rigorous contests including a 2-mile run and battle obstacle crossing, designed to test the physical endurance and combat readiness of participating battalions. The final round, held on 25 July 2025, was organized in a specially designed format to ensure a fair and competitive selection of the overall champion.
