Chief of the Air Staff of the Indian Air Force Air Chief Marshal B S Dhanoa PVSM AVSM YSM VM ADC presently in Sri Lanka on a long goodwill visit, calls on the Commander of the Army at the Army Headquarters on Monday (11) December 2017.
A Guard Turnout followed by a Guard of Honour accorded to the Chief of the Air Staff of the Indian Air Force with the Regimental Truncheon by the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment at the Ministry of Defence ground.

The well coordinated Leadership Training Package was conducted for 128 newly appointed Samurdhi Development Officers (Male 39 and Female 89) at the regimental centre Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment at Ambepussa as directed by the Commander of the Army with the supervision of Director General Training at Army Headquarters.The training package was commenced on 20 November 2017 and terminated on 11 December 2017. Hon S. B. Dissanayake, Minister for Social Empowerment, Welfare and Kandyan Heritage, together with a few senior Samurdhi Officers visited the training at regimental centre during the course.The certificate awarding ceremony for participants was held on 11 December 2017 with the participation of Deputy Centre Commandant of the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment.

Major General A P de Z Wickramaratne RWP ndu psc assumed office as the 9th Colonel of the Regiment of the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) on Friday (08) during a formal military formalities held at the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment at Ambepussa.
A guard turnout and a guard of honour was accorded to the new Colonel of the Regiment by the Regimental troops in front of large gathering of retired Colonels of the Regiment, retired senior officers, retired other ranks and serving officers and other ranks.

A Guard turnout followed by a Guard of Honour accorded to the Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) of the Nepali Army with the Regimental Truncheon by the Sir Lanka Sinha Regiment at the Ministry of Defence ground.
Guard of Honour was consisted with three officers and fifty one other ranks and which was commanded by Captain K T Wathudura.
