The admin inspection of Sri Lanka National Guard was held on 20 February 2020 with the precedence of The Chief of Staff, Major General S D T Liyanage WWV RWP VSV USP ndc psc, at the Regimental Centre Sri Lanka National Guard, Wehera, Kurunegala. It was mainly focused to ensure the Regiment and all battalions are functioning as per stipulated procedures of the Sri Lanka Army and resolve of any pending issues in respective battalions of the Regiment.

The latest academic research, 'Vavuniyawe Pura Vidya Urumaya' (Archaeological Heritage of Vavuniya) book, authored by Major Sarath Jayawardena of the Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG) Regiment was released to the public on Monday (17) during a simple ceremony, held at the SLNG Regimental Headquarters in Weherawatta, Kurunegala.
