In response to the impact of the recent Cyclone Ditwah, a welfare programme was conducted at the Regimental Headquarters to provide essential relief items to affected families. The programme took place on 23 December 2025 at the Auditorium of the Heraliyawatta Facility Complex, Regimental Headquarters, under the patronage of Mrs Kumarie Pallekumbura, President of the Regimental Seva Vanitha Branch SLNG (SVB-SLNG), and Major General Janaka Pallekumbura, Colonel of the Regiment.

On December 9, 2025, the President of SLNG SVB visited the houses of SLNG families affected by adverse weather conditions in Polonnaruwa District, offering support and solidarity to the families impacted by the severe weather.

Several soldiers who were recently affected by severe flooding in Rajanganaya and Horowpathana received relief assistance from the Sri Lanka National Guard Seva Vanitha Branch under the guidance of SVB President Mrs. Kumarie Pallekumbura, visited the homes of S/Q 111883 S/Sgt Pushpakumara HAS and S/Q 105247 Sgt Weerasinghe BLAP in Rajanganaya, as well as S/Q 107050 Cpl Nandika GKNS in Horowpathana, on the 5th of December 2025. During the visits, essential dry rations were provided to support the affected personnel. This compassionate effort highlights the Seva Vanitha Branch’s continuous commitment to the well-being of its members during times of hardship.

S/Q 00817 Cpl Munasinghe SSK, residing in Siyabalagahagama, Udunuwara, Nochiyagama, was recently affected by flooding in the area. Members of the Sri Lanka National Guard Seva Vanitha Branch, led by the SVB President Mrs. Kumarie Pallekumbura, visited Cpl Munasinghe and extended their support on 5th of December 2025 . During the visit, essential dry rations were provided as part of the relief effort. This act of kindness reflects the continuous commitment of the Seva Vanitha Branch towards the welfare of its members in times of need.

On 05th Dec 2025,The President of SLNG SVB, Mrs Kumarie Pallekumbura along with members of the branch visited the residence of the late L/Cpl Dissanayake TBN, located in Nochchiyagama, to offer condolences to the bereaved family. The soldier had tragically lost his life in a landslide incident in the Nortobridge area. while on duty.
