    Following initiatives taken by Colonel of the Regiment, Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG) and Commander of the Army Lieutenant General HLVM Liyanage RWP RSP ndu a new house was erected for the family of a late Corporal Kumaratunge HMR belongs to 18 SLNG under Col of the Regt house project in Ambangolla, Bibile with funds, made available by the All SLNG BN and the SLNG Regimental HQ on Friday (10 November).

  • THE NEWLY APPOINTED COMMANDING OFFICER OF 16 SLNG ASSUMES OFFICE

    Major RP De Zoysa SLNG assumed duties as the 12th Commanding Officer of 16th Battalion Sri Lanka National Guard on Saturday (09). A brief ceremony was held which included religious observances and Troops Address.

    The awarding ceremony of the Army Inter Regiment Drill and Pace Stick Competition - 2023 took place on Thursday (30) at Panagoda Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) Parade Square, headed by Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage, Commander of the Army who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

    The Inter Regiment Combat Shooting Competition -2023, organized by the Army Small Arms Association (ASAA), together with the Marksmanship and Sniper Training School (MSTS) at Diyatalawa, was held from 07 to 16 November 2023 for 10 days at 1000m Firing Range Diyatalawa with the participation of 35 teams representing 23 Regiments in the Army under open and novices categories.
