The customary religious feature, organized by the Sri Lanka National Guard Regimental Centre on account of the forthcoming 32nd Regimental Day (01 November) got underway on 01 November 2022 (Tuesday). The evening Bodhi Pooja at the Sri Sangaraja Piriwena Kurunegala on 28th October (Friday) follows offer of ‘Heel’ Daana (alms) on the following day (29).
The Regimental day Anniversary Programme conducted under the guidance of Commander of the Army as well as Colonel of the Regiment of the Sri Lanka National Guard Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage RWP RSP ndu, The Centre Commandant, Senior Officers and Regimental Staff attended to the programme.
Floral wreaths were laid at the SLNG War Heroes' Monument in memory of the fallen war heroes by the Centre Commandant, Deputy Centre Commandant and Regimental Sergeant Major as the first itinerary as the anniversary day. The Colonel of the Regiment also praised the Army's diverse roles and wished good luck with its onward march as Guardians of the nation.
Members representing All Ranks in the Regimental center Sri Lanka National Guard attend to the Tree planting programme at Regimental Headquarter and all Rank lunch conclude the day programme.
