Maj General AMR Abeysinghe ndc, the Commander Logistic Command visited the Sri Lanka Electrical and mechanical engineering workshop at Malay Street – Colombo 02 on 26 May 2026 as a part of administrative inspection. Upon the arrival the senior officer was awarded a Drive Pass and warmly welcomed by the Commandant of the Base Workshop of Malay Street – Colombo 02.

The Commander Logistic Command Maj Gen AMR Abeysinghe ndc visited Army Base Hospital - Panagoda on 21 May 2026. The visit was a significant demonstration of leadership engagement and commitment to soldiers’ welfare. In parallel to that, he has inspected general, administrative and logistic aspects in The hospital
During the Commander Logistic Command visit, he was received by the Commanding Officer of Army Base Hospital - Panagoda and was briefed on the hospital’s medical infrastructure, operational readiness, and ongoing patient care initiatives special attention was given to PULHEEMS formalities for Officers and Other Ranks at respective premises
The visit included a comprehensive tour of critical departments such as the Emergency Wing, Inpatient Wards, Diagnostic Labs, and Specialized Treatment Centers

The Commander Logistics Command Maj Gen AMR Abeysinghe ndc has visited from 06 May 2026 to 09 may 2026 for Under Command training schools and medical installations as a periodical visits aiming to sphere North Central and Eastern Area of Responsibilities. All the visits were significant demonstration of leadership engagement and commitment to soldiers’ welfare
In general, the aim of said visits was to inspect general, administrative, logistics and other aspects pertaining to training school and medical installations and also wellbeing of soldiers in said establishments. Further, it has been inspected of curative health care services which are providing by the Army in medical installations
During the visit of Commander Logistics Command was received by the respective head of the establishments and briefed on their operational readiness, training syllabus, infrastructure facilities, and ongoing medical care facilities. Moreover, instructed to establish disaster relief team and related equipment in order to act emergency circumstances. Visits included a comprehensive tour of critical departments such as the emergency wing, inpatient wards, diagnostic labs, and specialized treatment centers with the technological advancement as decentralization of medical services in Sri Lanka Army

One day workshop on vehicle accident procedures and prevention of dangerous drugs and online games was conducted for Officers and Other Ranks of RHQ SLAMC on 14 May 2026. It was applied Zoom technology for the above stated lectures for the Officers and Other Ranks who were not attended physically
The aim of the workshop was to enhance newly formulated mechanism, policies and current social issues in respected areas of concern in the Army in order to uplift knowledge for below Middle Grade Officers and Other Ranks
Under the guidance and supervision of the Commander Logistic Command, the workshop was effectively conducted by well qualified and experienced subject officer of the Dte of Provost Marshal under the HQ Logistics Command
