Major General M W T C Mettananda USP ndc, a distinguished military officer with 34 years of illustrious military career and assumed his office as the 35th Commander Logistics Command on 15th of December 2023. He is a well-qualified Officer who exemplifies an eminent role of leadership in the course of his tenure of command comprises several distinguished Command, Staff and Instructor in Sri Lanka Army.
Major General M W T C Mettananda USP ndc joined Sri Lanka Army on 20th January 1989 as an Officer Cadet to the Sri Lanka Military Academy, Diyatalawa and underwent the basic military training at Abbottabad, Pakistan from 01st April 1990 to 10th September 1990. Upon successful completion of Officer Cadet training of the Regular Intake 31-PMA, he was commissioned in the rank of Second Lieutenant and posted to the Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps on 05th October 1990.
