Under the guidance of the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Army and Colonel of the Regiment of Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI), Major General YABM Yahampath RWP RSP ndu psc, and with the supervision of the Chairperson of the SLLI Seva Vanitha Branch, Mrs. Darshanee Yahampath, the Seva Vanitha branch of the SLLI held its monthly committee meeting at the officers’ Mess, on 19th July 2025, which included a special discussion with the spouses of commanding officers of the battalions. During the meeting, the attendees deliberated on the branch's future plans and introduced new proposals aimed at providing support for the welfare of soldiers and civilian workers.

Sri Lanka Light Infantry Regiment organized a traditional festival for the Sinhala and Tamil New Year – 2025 on 11 April 2025 at the Regimental Centre , Panagoda with the participation of serving members and their families. The World Para Athletic Grand Prix sports competition held at New Delhi and Cpl Ekanayake KGG from Sri Lanka Light Infantry secured the silver medal in Javelin throw (men”s events) while an Indian player became the gold medalist. Cpl Ekanayake KGG was able to keep the lions flag high with his brilliant performance, Colonel of the Regiment and All Ranks wish him all the very best for his future endeavors.
