In line with the initiative of the Commander of Security Forces (Jaffna) and Colonel of the Regiment of Sri Lanka Light Infantry, Major General Y.A.B.M. In line with the visionary initiative of the Commander of Security Forces (Jaffna) and Colonel of the Regiment of Sri Lanka Light Infantry, Major General Y.A.B.M. Yahampath RWP RSP ndu psc, and the President of the Sri Lanka Light Infantry Seva Vanitha Branch, Mrs. Darshani Yahampath, a program aimed at promoting self-employment among soldiers and their families was conducted on 30th January 2025. This initiative sought to encourage sustainable livelihoods through mushroom cultivation. The event included an informative awareness session on the benefits and techniques of mushroom cultivation, followed by a practical session at the District Agriculture Training Center, Homagama. The program was organized for soldiers of the Sri Lanka Light Infantry Regiment and was conducted under the guidance and expertise of the District Agriculture Training Center, Homagama.

The Seva Vanitha Branch of the Sri Lanka Light Infantry, under the guidance of Major General Y.A.B.M.
