Poson Poya Commemoration at RFT COY GR

In commemoration of the sacred Poson Poya Day, the RFT Coy GR organized a series of religious and cultural events reflecting devotion and unity. The programme featured a Pirith chanting ceremony and the public display of sacred relics of the Buddha. A symbolic Mihinthale rock replica, skillfully built by differently abled soldiers, stood as a highlight of the event.

Demonstrating compassion and community spirit, a rice Dansala was conducted for the benefit of the villagers. The evening was further uplifted by a touching performance of Poson Bakthi Gee, presented by soldiers and students of Mahailuppalama School.

The event was graced by Col Janaka Siriwardane RSP USP, former Commanding Officer of the RFT Coy GR. The commemoration was successfully organized under the leadership of Commander RFT Coy, Lt Col P K N P Kumburage RWP RSP, with the dedicated support of all officers, soldiers, and generous donors from Senapura village.
