Corporal Gemunu Karunarathna belongs to 6 Bn the Gajaba Regiment who has undertaken the wheelchair journey, ‘Perseverance’ to cover 576 km and reach Point Pedro commenced his 5th day expedition from Abanpola this afternoon (7) at1400 hrs amid round of applause and compliments.
The Centre Commandant welcomed Corporal Gemunu Karunarathna who has undertaken the wheelchair journey at Thalawa. On his way to Saliyapura. Deputy Centre Commandant, Senior Officers, Other Ranks of Home of Gajaba also participated and to give more glamour to the event, GR Cycling team and motor bike team were also joined.
He arrived at Home of Gajaba at 1645 hrs on 07 December 2018, completing 62 km from Abanpola.
