Silver Medalist in ‘London Paralympics’ Commended by Commander of the Army
Sergeant Dinesh Priyantha Herath of 3rd Battalion the Gajaba Regiment who made the Army and the country proud by winning Silver medal at World Para Athletic Championship 2017 in London Paralympics in Men’s Javelin Throw, came in for special admiration of the Commander of the Army Lieutenant General Mahesh Senanayake on 17 August 2017.\r\nDeputy Chief of Staff -Major General Dampath Fernando, Adjutant General & Colonel of the Regiment Gajaba Regiment - Major General Shavendra Silva, Director Army Sports- Brigadier Anura Sudasinghe, Brigade Commander 552 Brigade - Brigadier Adeepa Thilakarathne and Commanding Officer 2 (V) MIC were present during the interaction with the Commander of the Army. \r\n
