13 TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE 9TH BATTALION THE GAJABA REGIMENT
13th anniversary of the 9th Battalion the Gajaba Regiment was celebrated on 4th February 2017. Religious activities, Ganadevikovil Pooja, Kiri Aharapooja to the Jaya Sri Maha Bodhiya and Kapruk Pooja to the Ruwanweli Mahasaya & alms giving were conducted on 27th & 28th January 2017 simultaneously with the anniversary.\r\n\r\nThe main aim of these events were to pay courtesy to the war heroes those who made the ultimate sacrifice to ensure the peace in our motherland of the 9th Battalion the Gajaba Regiment. The family members of the war heroes also participated to the events.\r\n\r\nIn addition to that religious activities, a parade to the Commanding Officer, all rank lunch, Musical evening & Dinner at officers\' mess were also held on 9th & 11th of February 2017 at Battalion headquarters, Nelumwewa, Janakapura. \r\n
